The Borough boasts a bustling downtown area with a wonderful
assortment of shops and restaurants – it is THE premiere downtown area of the Poconos.

The Borough of Stroudsburg offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. We are located at the corner of Seventh and Sarah Streets, diagonally across from the Monroe County Courthouse. Most departments are on the second floor of the building.
At our office you may apply for various permits such as yard sale, parade, banner, building, zoning, etc. and obtain information for most other issues regarding the Borough. The Borough Manager’s office, the Fire Department and offices for zoning and code matters are located here.
Borough Council Meeting Dates & Time
Borough Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m.
on the second floor of the Stroudsburg Municipal Building located at 700 Sarah Street.

CHANGE IN STROUDSBURG BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING LOCATION ON TUESDAY, JULY 17, 2018
Notice is hereby given that the Stroudsburg Borough Council will hold the Tuesday, July 17, 2018 meeting at 7:00 P.M. in the Cafeteria of Stroudsburg High School located at 1100 West Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Residents and Business Owners will have the opportunity to submit complaint forms to Met-Ed staff to report issues with electrical outages in the Borough of Stroudsburg. Please bring your Met-Ed account number. The purpose of the change in venue is to provide sufficient seating and parking for the public. The normal business of the Borough Council will also be conducted at this meeting. Formal action is anticipated.

Is your Sewer Backed Up?
Contact the Borough first to ensure that the blockage is in your sewer lateral.
Residents are responsible for the lateral line from their home to the sewer main in the street.
The Borough will not reimburse for contractor fees if the Borough is not contacted first and the blockage is in the Borough’s sewer main.
