Stroudsburg is a local government located in the heart of the Pocono Mountain region of northeast Pennsylvania.
The Borough boasts a bustling downtown area with a wonderful
assortment of shops and restaurants – it is THE premiere downtown area of the Poconos.

The Borough of Stroudsburg offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. We are located at the corner of Seventh and Sarah Streets, diagonally across from the Monroe County Courthouse. Most departments are on the second floor of the building.
At our office you may apply for various permits such as yard sale, parade, banner, building, zoning, etc. and obtain information for most other issues regarding the Borough. The Borough Manager’s office, the Fire Department and offices for zoning and code matters are located here.
Borough Council Meeting Dates & Time
Borough Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m.
on the second floor of the Stroudsburg Municipal Building located at 700 Sarah Street.
ONLINE TICKET PAYMENTS AND MUNICIPAL PERMIT RENEWALS AVAILABLE
The Borough now offers mPay2 mobile app to pay all mechanical meters and/or pay stations in town. mPay2 offers quick and easy access to parking locations with efficient and safe payment methods.
Pay-by-cell parking allows customers to pay for parking with their smart phone by downloading the app and scanning the QR code located on the parking meter and/or pay station. Once scanned, essential information such as location, space and price are automatically provided. The app provides text message notification for expired parking sessions.
You can pay using an individual transaction, no account needed and no transaction fees.

NOTICE OF FINAL PUBLIC HEARING – FY 2018 MONROE COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM (C.D.B.G.)
In accordance with CDBG citizen participation requirements, notice is hereby given that the County of Monroe will hold a public hearing to obtain final comments on the proposed use of the CDBG funds. A public hearing will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 9:30 A.M. in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room on the second floor at the County Administrative Center, One Quaker Plaza, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Based upon public needs hearings and municipal funding requests, all of which meet the “eligibility” and “fundability” requirements of the CDBG program and none of which will involve displacement or conversion of any housing units, it is proposed that $103,550.00 of the grant monies be used to undertake the following activity/project in the Borough of Stroudsburg: $84,011.00 for Street/Road Improvements; $900.00 for Public Service; and $18,639.00 for Program Administration. The Sarah Street Improvement Project is under way. Please note that the Project was financed, in part, by a Local Share Account Grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financial Authority.

Is your Sewer Backed Up?
Contact the Borough first to ensure that the blockage is in your sewer lateral.
Residents are responsible for the lateral line from their home to the sewer main in the street.
The Borough will not reimburse for contractor fees if the Borough is not contacted first and the blockage is in the Borough’s sewer main.
