Stroudsburg is a local government located in the heart of the Pocono Mountain region of northeast Pennsylvania.
The Borough boasts a bustling downtown area with a wonderful
assortment of shops and restaurants – it is THE premiere downtown area of the Poconos.

The Borough of Stroudsburg offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. We are located at the corner of Seventh and Sarah Streets, diagonally across from the Monroe County Courthouse. Most departments are on the second floor of the building.
At our office you may apply for various permits such as yard sale, parade, banner, building, zoning, etc. and obtain information for most other issues regarding the Borough. The Borough Manager’s office, the Fire Department and offices for zoning and code matters are located here.
Borough Council Meeting Dates & Time
Borough Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m.
on the second floor of the Stroudsburg Municipal Building located at 700 Sarah Street.
ONLINE TICKET PAYMENTS AND MUNICIPAL PERMIT RENEWALS AVAILABLE
The Borough now offers mPay2 mobile app to pay all mechanical meters and/or pay stations in town. mPay2 offers quick and easy access to parking locations with efficient and safe payment methods.
Pay-by-cell parking allows customers to pay for parking with their smart phone by downloading the app and scanning the QR code located on the parking meter and/or pay station. Once scanned, essential information such as location, space and price are automatically provided. The app provides text message notification for expired parking sessions.
You can pay using an individual transaction, no account needed and no transaction fees.

A SNOW EMERGENCY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9:00 A.M. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2018.
There will be no curbside recycling collection on November 22 (Thanksgiving) or on November 23 (day after Thanksgiving).
Hanson Aggregates will continue paving SR 611 just North of Bridge Street. The North bound lane will be pulled toward Chipperfield Drive. The paving operation will resume Monday, November 12th through Friday, November 16th from 8 am until dark until the project is completed. The work is estimated to take another week. As the contractor moves closer to downtown Stroudsburg, expect more traffic congestion and delays while the paving operation is taking place.

Is your Sewer Backed Up?
Contact the Borough first to ensure that the blockage is in your sewer lateral.
Residents are responsible for the lateral line from their home to the sewer main in the street.
The Borough will not reimburse for contractor fees if the Borough is not contacted first and the blockage is in the Borough’s sewer main.
