Stroudsburg is a local government located in the heart of the Pocono Mountain region of northeast Pennsylvania.
The Borough boasts a bustling downtown area with a wonderful
assortment of shops and restaurants – it is THE premiere downtown area of the Poconos.

The Borough of Stroudsburg offices are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. We are located at the corner of Seventh and Sarah Streets, diagonally across from the Monroe County Courthouse. Most departments are on the second floor of the building.
At our office you may apply for various permits such as yard sale, parade, banner, building, zoning, etc. and obtain information for most other issues regarding the Borough. The Borough Manager’s office, the Mayor’s office, Fire Department and offices for zoning and code matters are located here.

Borough Council Meeting Dates & Time
Borough Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m.
on the second floor of the Stroudsburg Municipal Building located at 700 Sarah Street.

Is your Sewer Backed Up?

Contact the Borough first to ensure that the blockage is in your sewer lateral.

Residents are responsible for the lateral line from their home to the sewer main in the street.

The Borough will not reimburse for contractor fees if the Borough is not contacted first and the blockage is in the Borough’s sewer main.

Please contact the Department of Public Works at 570-421-0490 during normal business hours (Monday – Friday 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.)

During Non-business hours please contact Monroe County Control Center at 570-992-9911


 


Stroudsburg Pool Schedule

The Borough Pool will be opening at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 17th.

Daily pool hours will be 12:00 noon to 7:00 P.M.

The last day the pool will be open is Saturday, August 19th.

The Borough of Stroudsburg has been awarded $130,670 LSA – Monroe County Grant for the updating of storm water inlets and paving of Sarah Street. The work should be completed in June 2018.

Stroudfest 2017

The Stroudfest Community Festival, sponsored by the Sherman Theater will be held on Saturday, September 2nd from 11A.M. to 7P.M.

This is a great festival in the heart of downtown Stroudsburg, come show your support for the local businesses, Musicians and Vendors.


The First Annual Super Hero Adventure

Family Promise, in partnership with Sherman Theater, announces the first annual Superhero Adventure to benefit Family Promise of Monroe County, to be held Sept. 2, 2017 during Stroudfest.
