Stroudsburg is a local government located in the heart of the Pocono Mountain region of northeast Pennsylvania.
The Borough boasts a bustling downtown area with a wonderful
assortment of shops and restaurants – it is THE premiere downtown area of the Poconos.

The Borough of Stroudsburg offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. We are located at the corner of Seventh and Sarah Streets, diagonally across from the Monroe County Courthouse. Most departments are on the second floor of the building.
At our office you may apply for various permits such as yard sale, parade, banner, building, zoning, etc. and obtain information for most other issues regarding the Borough. The Borough Manager’s office, the Fire Department and offices for zoning and code matters are located here.

Borough Council Meeting Dates & Time
Borough Council meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays of every month at 7 p.m.
on the second floor of the Stroudsburg Municipal Building located at 700 Sarah Street.


ONLINE TICKET PAYMENTS AND MUNICIPAL PERMIT RENEWALS AVAILABLE

The Borough now offers mPay2 mobile app to pay all mechanical meters and/or pay stations in town. mPay2 offers quick and easy access to parking locations with efficient and safe payment methods.

Pay-by-cell parking allows customers to pay for parking with their smart phone by downloading the app and scanning the QR code located on the parking meter and/or pay station. Once scanned, essential information such as location, space and price are automatically provided. The app provides text message notification for expired parking sessions.

You can pay using an individual transaction, no account needed and no transaction fees.

BRODHEAD CREEK REGIONAL AUTHORITY HAS ISSUED A BOIL ADVISORY FOR THE CUSTOMERS OF LEE AVENUE, BROAD STREET AND COLBERT STREET IN SOUTH STROUDSBURG DUE TO A WATER MAIN BREAK IN THAT AREA.  PLEASE FOLLOW THE LINK BELOW FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS.

THE STROUDSBURG PARKING DEPARTMENT WILL BE CALIBRATING PARKING METERS DURING DECEMBER AND JANUARY.  THIS PROCESS TAKES APPROXIMATELY THREE HOURS PER METER.  PAYMENT OF PARKING SPACES VIA COIN OR THE mPAY APP IS EXPECTED WHEN THE METERS ARE REPLACED AFTER CALIBRATION.

 Levee Loop Trail Race: Saturday, June 1st  – 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. (set up time 7:00 a.m. & clean up until 11:00 a.m.)

PROJECT UPDATE FROM HANSON AGGREGATES FOR SR 611 MAIN STREET IN STROUDSBURG PAVING  11/30/20

Hanson Aggregates of Lake Ariel was not able to continue to pave the final wearing course on  Main Street on Sunday night as planned as the result of inclement weather. Paving has been re-scheduled for this morning, December 3, 2018 from 9am till 9pm if needed. PLEASE expect back-ups and major traffic delays until the contractor is able to complete the paving of Main Street in Stroudsburg. Thank You for patience during this time!!!

Is your Sewer Backed Up?

Contact the Borough first to ensure that the blockage is in your sewer lateral.

Residents are responsible for the lateral line from their home to the sewer main in the street.

The Borough will not reimburse for contractor fees if the Borough is not contacted first and the blockage is in the Borough’s sewer main.

Please contact the Department of Public Works at 570-421-0490 during normal business hours (Monday – Friday 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.)

During Non-business hours please contact Monroe County Control Center at 570-992-9911
